March 4, 2013 Hey Family! I have decided that pictures are a huge waste of time here, so I will no longer be sending them. Unless its a super cool picture that is absolutely necessary. Its SO time consuming here! SO just keep your horses held until I get home to have one of those super exciting missionary slide shows haha. okay... Well this week is going well. Or went well I guess. Viktor is a super investigator. We planned to teach him the day of rest and how we need to go to church, because he didn´t go last week. So when we went to his place to teach him, we focused on the atonement, and that kind of led into the sabbath day, but he is the one that started that part of the lesson. He told us that he felt like it was all a little too good to be true and that certainly there had to be something he had to do in order to get baptized... like go to church? And we jumped on that. So we taught him that, and he committed to go to church. This Sunday when we went to go look for him, he was ready with his wife (member, less active). As we got into the car of the hermano who drove us, Viktor´s sister pulls up! NOOOO ! I was just instantly deflated.. I was popped. Family is everything here in Argentina, and just the week before our companions (Elder Dowdle and Tingey) were going to bring a whole family to church and then the guy´s brother out of nowhere came and it was immediately staying at home over telling them they were going to go to church. So I was a little worried. But Viktor is determined to get baptized the 16th of March. So he greeted them (it had been a couple months since they had seen each other) and then told them to come back a different day because he was going to church. Whaaaaaaaatttttt!!! We were so shocked and grateful haha. Anyways, he came, and it was a pretty great testimony meeting because there is a family in the rama that just got reactivated and they are going to the temple to be sealed in a couple weeks. Spirit was strong! The Best thing about Viktor getting baptized besides the actual baptism, is that his has tons of inactive kids with their families and a lot of them came on Sunday. We are really experiencing a miracle here in Shivadavia (Its actually Rivadavia, but most people say SH for their Rs, even though they should be trilled... way fun) Hmm besides that... we had a great week of capacitation. Or training.. We had consejo for the zone leaders, and then we had zone conference and so we had actually pretty limited time to proselyte this week. Fortunately we were able to make every moment count and met with the people we needed to. We also had a baptism in our Rama on saturday and that was great. Our zone is going to be baptizing every weekend this month, with the exception of the 23rd and 24th becuase thats stake conference and we aren´t allowed too. I love seeing the miracles that take place so that we can achieve our high goals as long as we do our part. Want to see the Lord´s hand in your life? Think of some things you want done in your life that are righteous desires and make it a goal. Do all you can to make sure it happens and then just wait for the Lord´s help. Its really amazing. Anyway I am doing way good. I heard that there are some new scriptures coming out in English... Those would be a great Birthday and christmas and Birthday of 2014 present because I have given my english scriptures that I bought in the MTC to my comp... He is going to learn english now..... Just an idea.... But if you want to know, I would prefer any color besides black or dark purple, and without indexes (1 triple and the bible, not quad) (the same size as mom´s) Okay I love you guys a ton. I am sure that I am forgetting something as I always do... But It must not be very important. Love, Blessings Elder DAYBELL
